Role: Design, concepting, and setup of experiential activation
To support Skype’s new partnership with Toshiba, both brands needed a concept that showcased Skype on Toshiba tablets to Holiday shoppers, so the Skype SmileStation was born.
We designed an interactive installation that was situated outside of the Flatiron building in New York City, featuring a screen encased in 6 foot wide Toshiba tablet, which broadcasted a live Skype chat between passersby and our team of comedians in Skype London. The comedians engaged the pedestrians with a friendly joke, calling them over to the giant tablet for a conversation. A few lucky winners were chosen to win a free Toshiba Encore tablet.
